Safety is one of the highest priorities for The Colfax Ave BID, and we continue to stay dedicated to improving the street environment along the corridor. Last year, we expanded our Clean, Safe and Friendly initiative with the addition of hiring both off-duty police and a private security company, Mile High Protection Services.
Due to the success of the additional patrols hired through the BID, the city realized the need for a stronger police presence on Colfax and reallocated additional bike patrols to District 6, as you can read in an article recently published by Capitol Hill Life. Both the patrols and our continued partnership with Mile High Protection Services allow us to have more eyes and ears on the street so that we can continually improve safety on Colfax.
The purpose of these additional services is to make our neighborhood a safer place to live, work and do business. In order to do that, we need your feedback! Please let us know what you’re seeing – improvements or otherwise, so we can make adjustments to determine the best days and times to patrol the District.
