We’ve gotten a lot of love for our logo over the last couple of years. So, we did what any logical person would do. We installed a seven-foot, larger-than-life sculpture of it on Colfax. You can find this bad boy outside the Fillmore Auditorium at Colfax and Clarkson. Selfies encouraged.

The vibrant sculpture is the latest implementation from our Streetscape Plan. The plan is the product of countless hours working with our business and property owners, residents, and friends to envision and prioritize public realm improvements for Colfax. At its simplest, the plan aims to improve safety, appearance, and development along the corridor, all while keeping our independent and original street thriving.

“We’re thrilled to have this piece out on the street for the community to enjoy,” said Colfax Ave BID Executive Director, Frank Locantore. “The BID is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year; why not celebrate with an installation as iconic as the corridor it sits on?”

The sculpture brings our logo to life, which was designed by the talented team at local firm ArtHouse Design

“When we were designing the Colfax Ave brand and logo, we wanted to find the right balance between Colfax’s colorful legacy and its promising future,” says Zach Kotel, Associate Design Director at ArtHouse. “The new Colfax sculpture adds to the sense of progress that the brand promises and will definitely be a fun new landmark for the area and Denver.”

Inspired by the area’s famed neon signs, the logo’s many color forms to allow residents, businesses, and visitors to identify with the Colfax Ave brand that best represents them.

Colfax is a place where everyone is welcome; we hope this sign will continue to bring the Colfax community together and allow you to take a little piece of the street with you when you go.

But wait, there’s more.

To celebrate the sculpture installation and our 30th Anniversary, we’re teaming up with the Fillmore Auditorium for a little contest.

Want to win two tickets to a Fillmore concert of your choosing? It’s simple:

  1. Take a photo of yourself or friends with the Colfax Ave sculpture.
  2. Upload it to social media with the hashtag #ColfaxLove (make sure your account is public so we can see it!).

We’ll pick a winner at our ‘30 Years of Colfax’ party (Wednesday, November 20th at the Fillmore Auditorium – have you RSVP’d yet?!) to get some Colfax Ave and Fillmore swag along with two free tix to an upcoming show of their choice (some restrictions may apply). Good luck!
