Maria Brink has always held a bewitching charm as the enchanting and fiery frontwoman for In This Moment but now they are taking things to the next level. The California alt-metal band will be joined on the road by Hollywood Undead, The Word Alive and DED.
In This Moment released their sixth studio album, Ritual, earlier this year on July 21. It was the band’s first album since the departure of drummer Tom Hane and featured the work of new drummer Kent Diimmel. The lead single from the album “Oh Lord” saw significant success and peaked at #6 on the Billboard Top Mainstream Rock Charts. Unlike their previous release, Black Widow, the band chose to explore deeper themes and a less sexualized path for Ritual. Using her enchanting vocals to give life to spiritual experimentation and religious exploration, Brink used a visit to Salem, Mass. with the women in her family as the catalyst for her writing on Ritual.
Hollywood Undead is touring in support of their latest album FIVE! “We’re five brothers, and this is our fifth record. Nothing gets to the essence of the music like this number does. Numerology has a lot of power. When we said Five, it just made sense. The fact that we could all agree on one word codifies who we are. It also nods back to ‘No. 5’ from our first album, because it was our fifth song. Moreover, it hints at this secret society of fans supporting us for the past decade. The number is significant, and this is a significant moment for us.
