The Colfax Ave Business Improvement District and Historic Denver will host a free forum on Tuesday, March 20th at 6:30pm at L2 Events Center (1477 Columbine St.), titled “re:Denver – Colfax Grit & Glory.”

Colfax, Denver’s iconic main street, has seen many evolutions over the years. Join a panel of local experts to discuss the ingredients that make Colfax what it is – from its history, to transit, to the built environment, and how it can retain its unique identity as Denver continues to grow and change.

“re:Denver forums give us a chance to talk about how things are changing in Denver – and where our heritage and identity fit into that change,” said Alison Salutz, Director of Community Programs at Historic Denver. “This month, speakers will address a place everyone knows – a place with a very distinctive identity – Colfax Avenue. There will be many chances for engagement throughout, so that the audience can provide input in real time on what is distinctly Colfax.”

This interactive event will feature three panelists, including Brad Segal (President, P.U.M.A.), Amy Zimmerman (Architectural Historian), and Jamie Perkins (Transit Advocate and RTD District B Board Candidate).

“Colfax has always been a street defined by change,” said Michelle Valeri, Communications and Programs Director at Colfax Ave. “This is a great opportunity to explore what makes Colfax, Colfax, and talk about how we can preserve the character that so many love while continuing to be a place that welcomes everyone.”

This event is free and open to the public. Doors are at 6:30pm, and the program starts at 7:00pm. Click here for more information and to RSVP.
